Project Overview

After successfully transforming the main building’s roof, MaxiFlex entrusted us with repainting the roof of the adjacent building on their premises. The existing terracotta colour was worn out, and the roof showed slightly more rusting compared to their first roof we worked on. We prepared the surface thoroughly, treated all rusted areas, and applied our signature Liquid Rubber paint in a beautiful green to align with their refreshed site aesthetic.

Challenges

• Wind: As with the first project, the wind created overspray risks, requiring careful planning and adjustments throughout application.
• Bull Nose Sections: The bull noses could not be painted with our standard airless sprayers, so these areas were meticulously painted by hand with brushes to ensure complete coverage and a smooth finish.

Our Solution

• Comprehensive rust treatment on all affected areas
• Thorough cleaning and surface preparation of the entire roof
• Application of a double coat of Lekker Rubber Liquid Rubber in Green to ensure long-lasting protection and a fresh finish

Results:

The roof now boasts a brand new, Green finish that enhances the building’s professional look while providing superior durability, even under challenging weather conditions.
